Discussion:
Preserving collections

Collections seem to go away on their own after a while. Is there a
way to save the collection, so that a link can point to the PDF or ODF
versions?

Also, the pre element gets mangled in the ODF conversion so that lines
get wrapped and merged rather than left as-is. Thus

Subsystem sftp internal-sftpMatch Group sftp-only
ChrootDirectory %h
AllowTCPForwarding no
X11Forwarding
ForceCommand internal-sftp

gets wrapped incorrectly to

Subsystem sftp internal-sftpMatch Group sftp-only
ChrootDirectory %h
AllowTCPForwarding no X11Forwarding ForceCommand
internal-sftp

At http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Special:Book , once you have all the pages
you want, you can save the collection to Wikibooks:Collections/blah or
User:Username/Collections/blah in the lower-right.

In the lower right, there is only the PDF or ODF download option. The
string 'save' does not appear anywhere on the page, even after I've added
a lot of pages.

You don't see the box titled "Save and share your collection" right below
that? Let me know if not because it appears for me and I wasn't aware of
any permissions restricting that. However, I'll create a basic collection
for OpenSSH for you and link it with Template:Collection.

It's there now, plain as day, but has not been there any of the previous
days.

Thanks; I see that you were able to move
User:Larsnooden/Collections/OpenSSH to Wikibooks:Collections/OpenSSH
